Pastels for Spring

Pastels for Spring

This spring/summer fashion season reminds me of a Cezanne impressionist painting. Everything is soft, from the breezes to the color palette. The softest palette of all are pastels, the fabulously delicious sorbet shades of lemon, mint, lavender, pink, and icy blue.

Soft pastel hues are all the rage for spring/summer 2018, and here's how to make color work for you this season. Start with chic neutral separates, opt for a neutral blouse and add pastel details. You can also wear a pastel skirt or pants as a great centerpiece to the rest of your ensemble! Just choose one of the season's biggest colors and work your wardrobe around it.

While pastels may initially conjure up Laura Ashley prints (oh please NO!) if you dig a little deeper, you can discover ways to use the hues that are more sexy than saccharine.

Here are some ideas that will look great with your LuLuwrap this season.

The pastel trend is strong this spring.
You might want to get a skirt in one of the hot pastel shades - truly a stand-out detail. Beautiful pastel pumps are also another way to freshen your style this spring.

I love this belt bag! It looks great belted over the LuLuwrap and why not, you guessed it, in a pastel color.

Don't shy away from statement earrings. They are both fun and elegant. Try some with fringe or tassels. The perfect statement to wear with casual denim or after-hours attire.

Animal print is always in style and a major look that will carry over into fall. This wrap-style looks chic with jeans or great over leggings and boots.
